Ritz Carlton Bali, Indonesia

The Ritz-Carlton Nusa Dua is absolutely breathtaking. On arrival, you are greeted by the sea breeze and picturesque views of the Indian Ocean. The hotel offers a variety of room options, from garden view and pool suites to villas. Pictured above, I stayed in the Sawangan Junior Suite with Pool Access. This room provides a semi-private pool experience, tucked away from other guests. The suite includes a sunbathing deck surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. Inside the room you will find marble double sinks, a walk-in closet, soaking tub, and a spacious rainforest shower.

There are four main restaurants on the grounds. I recommend speaking with the concierge on arrival to book dinner reservations to avoid restaurants reaching capacity. If you are unable to make a reservation don’t fret, you may simply need to be flexible with your availability. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, at the Senses Breakfast Restaurant. If you prefer to order a la carte, the staff takes individual orders for food and beverages.

The service here is unparalleled. The team members from the front desk to housekeeping and wait staff were very friendly and take pride in their careers. I had a few conversations about training and upward mobility and how they see the corporation investing in their future.

It was easy to see, the Ritz Carlton employs a dedicated and charismatic staff. I scheduled a few late dinners right before closing time and the staff would reserve our favorite seats and check with the chef to see if our popular dishes were available for late-night snacking. We felt like one big family with the staff here, enjoying late-night dinner conversations.

On the first day of my stay, I always ask the concierge if the spa is offering any promotions, this is a great way to say a few dollars on a service and redistribute that expected spend and increase gratuity. I love planning massages after long days in the sun or sightseeing. I booked two treatments during my stay, a signature 60-minute massage with a choice of calming or awakening essential oils, and a couples massage that included a blanketed rose petal bubble bath and champagne. Each treatment room is private, with a separate changing and washing area. The overall experience was very relaxing, from the massage rooms to the music. If my schedule permitted, I would have booked a different treatment every day. Next on my list is the Seaweed Body Scrub or Hot Stone Therapies. In addition to the spa, there were other wellness activities offered by the hotel, such as daily Aerial Yoga, Hydro-Vital Pools, and plenty more.

The Ritz Carlto is the perfect destination to travel with friends, family, or your partner. They curate a wonderful experience of activities for adults and children to get immersed in Balinese culture and traditions. Activities range from cocktail/mocktail instruction, beach bonfires and sports, Kwangen making, Sanskrit lessons to Balinese cooking lessons.
